Sunlight what is its sole purpose? To keep things illuminated, to grow the plants on this earth. To keep us warm. The sunlight to me is a reminder of Gods touch, the light rays kiss my face as a representation of his affection for me.
As I was sitting outside on my swing, I felt the softness of the setting sun’s rays caress my face. In this moment God revealed his affection for me. As I sat there enjoying the setting sun and its beautiful radiant colors of pink to purple. I was struck with what was to be the last strong ray of sun hit my eyes, I stretched out my hand to cover my eyes from the beam of light. In that very instance God spoke softly to me he said, “move to your left”. In my mind I was confused… I obeyed as he said. Within an instance I was no longer sitting directly under the strong ray of sun. It was in that moment that I was reminded how God may use situations (the strong ray representing hard situations) in our life to stretch us. God never wants us to move away from his light, hide, or shield ourselves from his presence. He does how ever want us to use the situation/ stretching as guidance and wants us to trust in him and follow in obedience. When he uses those situations to lead and guide us, he also wants our perspective to follow not just our physical body. We often get so focused and zoomed in on something we almost seem to forget to take a step back. To be able to see the bigger picture. Once I moved, I was able to see not only the sun set clearly but also the other side of the sky and its beautiful & majestic peacefulness.
As Stevin Furtick says sometimes God illuminates his presence in a situation not Eliminate the situation.
